Erik Sheldon
Community Engagement Lead, Women Innovators
Supply Chain Program Manager, HP Inc.

Erik Sheldon works at HP, Inc. as a Supply Chain Program Manager, and focuses on cost of sales savings in the Printing & Imaging business. He began his career at HP as a Technical Marketing Engineer Intern where he discovered his passion for working directly with customers to test new features. Erik took the passion he discovered from his internship and in his current role to learn more about innovative technologies, such as 3D Printing at HP, and learning more about transformative practices for customer success. Erik was nominated and selected to represent HP in Leadership Boise, and he is excited to work with other passionate and inspiring professionals, activists, and leaders in the Boise community.

An Arizona native, Erik moved to Boise in 2007 to pursue his Bachelor’s in Chemistry and play tennis at Boise State University. Following his Bachelor’s, he completed his MBA at Boise State while interning at HP. He discovered his love for floating the Boise River, snowboarding at Bogus Basin, and running along the Boise Greenbelt while at Boise State.

Inspired by his mother, a software engineer, Erik is passionate about breaking down barriers for underrepresented groups and promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace and the community. He is heavily involved in HP’s Intern Program at the Boise site, and is involved in recruiting diverse and underrepresented candidates. He is also helping coordinate efforts to educate HP managers on recruiting and retaining candidates from diverse backgrounds. As a Big Brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Idaho, Erik is passionate about promoting this cause within HP and the Boise community to ensure that there is no shortage of Big Brothers and Big Sisters in his community. Erik is a very active advocate for human rights, and volunteers with the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights in Boise by aiding in fundraising efforts for programming in schools and travelling internationally for a service project in Cambodia. In his free time, Erik enjoys exploring Boise, travelling, and watching any and every sport with friends and family.
