Program Manager, HP Inc.
Amalka Samarasekera is a dynamic and driven leader, currently working as a Software Go-to-Market Program Manager at HP.
She has been at HP for two years, and serves as an active member and leader in various organizations at HP. In her role, she manages a breadth of programs and operations for their Solutions business and oversees new product launches and partner onboarding. She is keen on taking on challenges and has developed innovative solutions to enhance their business operations and growth. In addition to her outstanding professional work experience in Program Management, Marketing and Business Planning, she has also conducted extensive research and analysis in academia and brings a global perspective to the team.
Amalka is passionate about education, networking and empowering women to succeed in STEM. Outside of HP, she is a member of the Business Advisory Council of The College of Idaho and the United World College alumni community where she takes an active role in assisting the US national committee with student selections every year. She is an active member of Women Innovators and has now joined their leadership board as the Partnerships chair.
Amalka graduated with her Master of Business Administration from Boise State University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The College of Idaho. This year she was chosen to receive the 2019 Young Alumni Award from her alma mater The College of Idaho, for her accomplishments and contributions to the college and her community. Prior to moving to Idaho from Sri Lanka, she completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma at Pearson College (United World College) in BC, Canada.
She lives in Boise with her husband, and has a passion for travel, music and dance. Together, they both enjoy long road trips, kayaking, hiking, playing tennis and exploring Boise’s wonderful restaurants and wineries.
